A Royal Visit:

In March 2023, shortly before their coronation, King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla traveled to Germany for their first state visit of his reign. They were welcomed by German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and his wife, Elke Büdenbender, during the three-day visit from March 29 to 31.

At Bellevue Palace in Berlin, President Steinmeier presented King Charles III with a special gift: the Hermle Aimee Mantel Clock. With its classic English-inspired design, walnut case, 8-day mechanical movement, Westminster chimes, and automatic night shut-off, the Aimee was chosen as a fitting German-made gift for the British monarch.

A Special Request:

For this special occasion, the UK Foreign Office contacted Hermle with a request for this particular clock model and a personalized engraving commemorating the state visit.

The clock was specially engraved in German with a dedication recognizing His Majesty King Charles III of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland 1st State Visit to the Federal Republic of Germany from March 29 to 31, 2023.
